Revolving Centre is also known as a rotating center or running center in some countries, it is constructed so that the 60-degree center runs in its own bearings and is majorly used at the tailstock or non-driven end of a machine. It is used to hold and support a workpiece in a lathe or other machine tools, between the headstock and tailstock. Revolving Centre allows higher turning speeds without the need for separate lubrication and also greater clamping pressures.
